Beth began her career in court reporting in 1991 after graduating from Edmondson Junior College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1992 she moved to the Nashville area and continued freelance reporting. Presently, she specializes in the area of Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART), serving people who are deaf or hard of hearing. She also continues to work in the judicial field of court reporting with Brentwood Court Reporting Services as a realtime writer. Beth is a Tennessee LCR, and also holds the RMR, CRR, CCP and CBC certifications with the National Court Reporters Association.

Beth lives in Smyrna, Tennessee, with her husband, Troy, and their two daughters, Abby, age 14, and Savannah, age 12.
