After completing her court reporting education in 1986, Ann began her career as a freelance court reporter in 1987 for Vowell & Jennings in Nashville, Tennessee, where she worked as a full-time court reporter until September of 2006. In September of 2006, she resigned that position to assume a position as a freelance court reporter with Brentwood Court Reporting Services. Ann is currently a member of the National Court Reporters Association and the Tennessee Court Reporters Association. She holds the RPR and Tennessee LCR certifications.

Ann lives in Middle Tennessee with her husband, Ron, and their English Springer Spaniel, Ella.
